Welcome to the St. Louis Police Foundation

The St. Louis Police Foundation, a 501c3 organization, was formed by Chris Goodson, President of The Goodson Company, and Douglas A. Albrecht, Chairman of The Bodley Group, in July 2007 to provide private support to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.

Modeled after other successful Police Foundations in New York, Atlanta and Chicago, the mission of the Foundation is to serve as a conduit for the business and private sectors to support the St. Louis Police Department through monetary aid, services and goods. This support will help ensure the highest level of police service to the St. Louis community.

With this Foundation, every individual, business and organization in the St. Louis area can become a valued member of the police community and play a vital role in making St. Louis a safer city for all of those that live, work or play in the city.

The Police Foundation holds one event per year that features hosts Joe Buck, Dan Dierdorf and Ozzie Smith. Since the inaugural 2007 luncheon, the Foundation has raised over $900,000. The 2010 Fall Sports Kickoff luncheon will be held Tuesday, September 7, at the America’s Center.

Funds from this Foundation will support programs, initiatives and projects that are strategically centered to compliment the Department’s policing strategies.

Board members are Doug Albrecht, Chris Goodson, Kathy Osborn, Sandra Van Trease, Steve Lohr, Steve Jones, Steve Roberts, Matt Scherrer, Paul Shaughnessy, Richard Mark, Bob Brinkmann, George Roman, Michael Kelley, and Todd Epsten.
